Fact 2 - Students of Color Graduation Rates
Students of all racial and ethnic backgrounds complete their degrees more quickly at independent colleges and universities than at state four-year colleges. For example, Hispanic students have a 76 percent four-year graduation rate at independent colleges, but only a 39 percent rate at state four-year colleges and universities.

Fact 3 - Students of Color Success in Ohio
Ohio’s independent colleges and universities register 29 percent of all students of color who are enrolled in four-year degree programs in the state, yet they award 35 percent of all degrees earned by students of color.

Fact 4 - Students of Color Graduation Rates Among New England Institutions
In New England, among first-time, full-time, degree-seeking students of color, the six-year gradation rates at independent colleges and universities are more than double those at public institutions. For example, 69 percent of Hispanic students graduate in six-years or less at private, four-year colleges, compared to 33 percent at public institutions.
