President-Trustee
Dialogues
Launched in July 2003, this program encourages dialogue among presidents
and trustee leaders through regional meetings held several times yearly.
The program, one of several CIC services available to presidents, enables
presidents to discuss important issues facing their institutions with
a small group of presidents and trustee leaders from similar institutions.
Funder: American Academic Leadership Institute (AALI)
Program Status: A new series of President-Trustee Dialogues is
currently underway with the support and cooperation of the American Academic
Leadership Institute (AALI) beginning with two Dialogues that were held
in spring 2008. Two more Dialogues are scheduled for fall 2008 at Utica
College, Utica, New York on Wednesday, September 10 and at Augsburg
College, Minneapolis, Minnesota on October 30, 2008. Additionally,
two dialogues will be scheduled for the spring of 2009.
If you are interested in participating please contact Stephen Gibson,
CIC’s director of projects at (202) 466-7230 or sgibson@cic.nche.edu,
and indicate in which of the dialogues you and a lead trustee from your
institution would like to participate. Please submit your information
using the following reply form.
At this stage, the commitment is not binding, but will help us establish
the level of interest and plan the agenda for each dialogue.
