Kevin Gannon is a professor of history at Grand View University in Des Moines, Iowa, where he also directs the Center for Excellence in Teaching in Learning. His research interests include race and racisms, critical and inclusive pedagogy, and 19-century American history. He is the author of Radical Hope: A Teaching Manifesto and a forthcoming textbook on the Civil War and Reconstruction.
