Institute for Chief Academic Officers

The Institute for Chief Academic Officers is one of CIC’s signature programs. Each year, Chief Academic Officers from independent colleges and universities gather to learn with and from each other about the most important issues facing their institutions. To strengthen leadership teams, other campus leaders, such as chief enrollment, advancement, public relations, finance, and diversity officers, are invited in regular rotation to participate in the Institute. Special workshops for chief academic officers new to their roles are offered annually. The Institute for Chief Academic Officers is one of the nation’s largest annual convenings of CAOs and a remarkable opportunity to network with academic leaders from independent colleges and universities.
