Celia Cook-Huffman joined Manchester University (IN) as vice president for academic affairs in 2020. She returned to Manchester, her undergraduate alma mater, after spending 30 years at Juniata College (PA), where she began her academic career as a faculty member in peace and conflict studies. During her time at Juniata, Cook-Huffman held the W. Clay and Kathryn Burkholder Professorship in Conflict Resolution and served as the associate director of the Baker Institute of Peace and Conflict Studies. From 2015 to 2020, she held the position of associate provost and provided innovative leadership of student academic success. Cook-Huffman’s research interests include the impact of social identity on conflict, the relationship between gender issues and conflict, and nonviolent social change.
