David Macoubrie

David Macoubrie serves as president and chief executive officer of Inceptia, where he provides the strategic leadership and long-term vision that guide the organization’s mission to improve student success, institutional outcomes, and financial sustainability across higher education. With more than 35 years of experience in higher education finance, policy, and student support services, Macoubrie has been instrumental in transforming Inceptia into a nationally recognized leader serving colleges, universities, and state systems across the country.  Under his leadership, Inceptia has expanded its portfolio of data-driven solutions supporting enrollment, persistence, financial aid administration, repayment success, and regulatory compliance. His expertise is frequently sought about the student lifecycle and the ability to align institutional enrollment goals with scalable, mission-driven strategies that reduce administrative burden while improving outcomes for students, and he actively contributes to national higher education policy through his involvement with the National Council of Higher Education Resources (NCHER). Macoubrie holds a Bachelor of Science in business administration and accounting from Wayne State College (NE).
