Joanna Gregson is provost and senior vice president for academic affairs at Pacific Lutheran University (PLU) in Tacoma, Washington. Since stepping into her role in 2017, she has led the academic division and provided oversight for the university’s Wild Hope Center for Vocation. Joanna actively partners with the Center to ensure PLU students, staff, and faculty have robust opportunities to explore their own vocational callings. Her chapter in the recent NetVUE-funded PLU monograph, Purposeful Learning in New Era, focused on leadership. Her institution recently hosted a NetVUE regional gathering titled “Vocation for All: Strategies for Programming and Assessment.” She previously served as professor of sociology, also at PLU.
