Michael T. Matraia

Michael T. Matraia is associate professor of accounting at Assumption University in Worcester, Massachusetts. He teaches undergraduate courses on introductory accounting, advanced accounting, and auditing. His research interests include exploring connections between the liberal arts and professional programs, and understanding more about what drives interest (and lack of interest) in the accounting profession among students in introductory accounting courses. He is active in efforts on campus to improve academic and vocational advising, and he serves as a pre-law advisor. He previously was a managing director at Deloitte’s national office and was a partner at the Berman Tabacco law practice in Boston.
