Reyes Gonzalez

Reyes Gonzalez serves as senior advisor for partnerships and mergers at the Council of Independent Colleges (CIC), where he collaborates with presidents and governing boards to guide complex strategic decisions involving partnerships, affiliations, and mergers. His focus is on mission alignment, institutional discernment, and ensuring long-term sustainability. Previously, he served as president of St. Augustine College (IL), where he led the institution through a successful merger, managing both operational and cultural aspects of the transition. Over more than thirty years in higher education, Gonzalez has held senior leadership roles, including chief financial officer and senior vice president, with a focus on innovation, stewardship, and student-centered outcomes.
