Richard Guarasci

Richard Guarasci served as the 18th and longest serving president of Wagner College (NY) and currently serves as principal of Presidential Partners, a higher education consulting form specialized in creating inclusive, thriving, and sustainable communities. Earlier, Guarasci was the dean of the college at Hobart and William Smith (NY) and before that served as associate dean at St. Lawrence University (NY). He served as board chair of the Association of American Colleges & Universities, Campus Compact, Project Pericles, and the Association of New American Colleges. Guarasci is the author of Neighborhood Democracy: Building Anchor Partnerships Between Colleges and their Communities (2022) and Democratic Education in An Age of Difference (1997).
