Ryan Sandefer

Ryan Sandefer became vice president for academic affairs at the College of St. Scholastica (MN) in 2020. He also currently serves as interim vice president for enrollment management and student affairs. Earlier in his career at St. Scholastica, Sandefer served in several other administrative roles, including as chair of the department of health informatics and information management. He participated in the 2019–2020 CIC Senior Leadership Academy and has held multiple positions in the American Health Information Management Association (AHIMA). Sandefer is coeditor of the textbook Data Analytics in Healthcare Research: Tools and Strategies, teaches research methods and data analytics at St. Scholastica, and presents data analytics workshops for AHIMA. Prior to entering higher education in 2011, he was a research scientist and coordinator in the health care industry.
