Tracy S. Parkinson, executive vice president and provost at Mars Hill University (NC), came to Mars Hill in 2020 from Coker University, where he most recently served as executive vice president and acting president. From 2011 to 2017, he was Coker’s provost. Before he arrived at Coker, Parkinson was a professor of modern languages and held several administrative positions at King College (TN). His professional activities are wide-ranging and include work with the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges, the CIC Network for Vocation in Undergraduate Education, the Yes We Must Coalition, and the John Gardner Institute. Parkinson also is a past participant in CIC’s Executive Leadership Academy.
