Vanessa N. Long

Vanessa Long joined CIC in 2015 and is the associate director of finance and accounting. Long brings to CIC several years of grant program management, event management, and accounting experience and is responsible for overseeing CIC’s accounts receivables, accounts payables, and bank reconciliation processes. Prior to joining CIC, Long served as office assistant for the American Association of Community Colleges, event and outreach coordinator for the DC Bar, and convention services coordinator for the Omni Shoreham Hotel. She graduated summa cum laude from Delaware State University with a bachelor’s degree in general management and earned her master of tourism administration degree in event and meeting management from the George Washington University. Long was originally hired as CIC’s conference and program coordinator and later served as manager of State Council programs before being promoted.
