Creating Toolkits for First-Year Vocational Discernment

This panel will discuss faculty development programs to support the creation of vocation-specific toolkits for students within first-year programs at three institutions that vary in size, religious affiliation, and program structure. The session will highlight lessons learned while (a) working with faculty and building engagement; (b) using the materials within the course, class time, or classroom; (c) incorporating the work across the curriculum and/or the institution; (d) addressing assessment challenges; and (e) incorporating DEI into discussions of vocation.
