From Stopgap to Strategy: Making the Most of Course and Program Share

November 2, 2025 JW Grand Ballroom 9–10

This session will demonstrate how institutions are strategically using the CIC Online Course Sharing Consortium (CIC-OCSC) beyond ”just in time” solutions. The panel will discuss how a CIC member took regional market data and used the consortium to launch a new program on campus. In addition to program share, you will hear from a campus about how they were able to increase their summer enrollment through course share. Finally, there will be a live demo of Skills Marketplace which allows campuses to offer badges/micro-credentials to students. You will see in just a few steps how campuses can launch their own iteration of Skills Marketplace within a month. Session attendees will also gain access to a market study highlighting opportunities for new program viability within their region.

Moderator: Matt Trainum, Vice President for Networks and Strategic Partnerships, CIC
