The goal remains the same: for each student to feel like they belong on our campus, but championing belonging and inclusion on campus is more complicated with changes in public sentiment and federal and state regulations. This session will share four communication tactics for presidents to talk about the value of a diverse student body while avoiding the landmines of DEI language (i.e., what you can actually say that works), four tactics to talk about the value of higher education, and three ways campus are positioning their campus efforts. When DEIB initiatives are under scrutiny, come hear learnings from the past year within CIC’s Belong community to help all CIC leaders navigate the complexities of the next few years.
