Internship Credit for All: A Flexible Course Model for the Liberal Arts

March 22, 2024 Rooms 208–209

This interactive session will explore a model for a one-credit course that can be attached to internships in any professional area. Unlike other credit-bearing internships based in a professional school or an academic department, this course can be taught by trained faculty from any discipline. The model may be of special interest to conference participants developing experiential learning programs at smaller institutions and in liberal arts contexts. Participants in this session will have the opportunity to discuss campus partnerships at their home institutions and to assess versatile reflection prompts that can be assigned to students working in a range of fields.
