Wellbeing: Making Progress on Equity in Access through Collaboration and Partnership

November 3, 2025

Equity in student access to wellbeing resources is a perennial issue for higher education and a challenge that, in spite of multiple constraints, is one that can’t afford to ignored. Addressing this issue requires stepping out of the usual and engaging imagination and collaboration to develop new approaches. This session uses an interactive panel and storytelling to share two institutional case studies from universities who have developed purposeful partnerships that expand equitable access to wellbeing-related resources for their students. DePauw University (IN) offers an illustrative example of a multi-school wellbeing consortium model, while Pacific Lutheran University (WA) provides an illustrative model of an integrated wellbeing services and resources hub that includes brick and mortar, telehealth, navigation, and community resources in one place. Participants in this session can expect to learn about strategies for (1) inspiring mutually beneficial partnerships; (2) developing metrics used to understand outcomes and make improvements; (3) applying lessons learned; and (4) mapping future aspirations.
