Council of Independent Colleges Begins Pilot Corporate Affiliate Program with Two Initial Offerings

The Council of Independent Colleges is piloting a Corporate Affiliate program to provide members with discounted services and products and, at the same time, encourage companies to invest in the independent higher education sector.

CIC is excited to announce two initial offerings:

  • Title IX Compliance by Student Ally
(A Title IX service to streamline compliance, reporting, and training)
    • Student Ally is offering a 50–70 percent reduction on their full Title IX compliance platform. For institutions not looking yet for a full solution, Student Ally has agreed to provide heavily discounted Title IX compliance audits and free training for campuses.
      1. FREE student training for every CIC member campus
Student Ally has a tier of training videos covering Title IX, consent, bystander intervention and community engagement, trauma, and alcohol safety. Many CIC institutions are currently paying thousands of dollars for this content. For all CIC members, Student Ally will provide free access to its training video library for one year.
      2. Title IX Compliance Audits
Student Ally will provide reduced pricing on comprehensive Title IX compliance audits. Audits include analysis of current state, impact of new regulations on campus policies and practices, multiple focus groups, and a comprehensive report. All CIC member institutions are guaranteed a reduced price of $4,500, and the first ten institutions that sign up will receive this audit for $2,500.
      3. Full Title IX Compliance Solution
Student Ally is excited to provide a 60–70% discount on their full compliance system and student app, and they will guarantee this discounted rate for three years to CIC members.
  • Business Model Redesign by Core Education PBC
(An operating partner to help transform the business model for small colleges into a long-term sustainable operation)
    • Specifically for CIC institutions, Core has developed a revenue and loss analysis and agreed to offer this service at a notable discount. The full price of this Prosperity Review also serves as a credit with future engagements. Core also has agreed to provide complimentary board development sessions for a set number of CIC member institutions.
      1. Complimentary Board development
For CIC institutional members seriously committed to long-term financial change, Core has agreed to provide a limited number of complimentary Board training workshops designed to educate Board members on the financial fundamentals, complexities and opportunities for CIC member institutions (limited availability).
      2. The Core Prosperity Study
A Prosperity Study is a sixty-day collaborative project that reviews key revenue and expenses, as well as technology and capital strategies. CIC members access this service at a contractually guaranteed “best fee” representing a 15-20% discount versus non-CIC members.
      3. Long-term commitment incentive
Through this agreement with CIC, Core will provide a full credit of the cost of the prosperity study to institutions who select to engage in a multi-year partnership. Core has never made such an offer before, and this offer is only available to active CIC members.
