2027 NetVUE Summer Seminar: Religion/Theology/Vocation
The Religion/Theology/Vocation seminar is designed is intended for full-time faculty members at all levels. Participants will examine the interrelationship of the study of vocation and calling with the academic fields of theology and religious studies, exploring implications for research, teaching, and service to the institution. -
NetVUE Grants for Fostering Leadership for Communities of Faith
This grant program provides funding to develop programming for students, and/or professional development for faculty members and staff, with the goal of connecting students to local faith communities and supporting them as they explore their callings. Applications for the current round were due December 2025. -
NetVUE Grants to Individuals for Vocational Exploration
NetVUE Grants to Individuals for Vocational Exploration aim to support projects that will generate artifacts or products that will develop and expand the existing field of scholarship, conversation, and pedagogy on vocation in undergraduate education. Applications for the current round are due October 2, 2026. -
2027 NetVUE Summer Seminar: Institutional Leadership for Vocation
The Institutional Leadership for Vocation seminar is designed to bring together a group of current leaders who are eager to explore how vocational exploration and discernment can play a greater role across campus, particularly in the work that these leaders do with members of the faculty and staff, but also in curricular and co-curricular programming for students. Participants in this seminar will have the opportunity to reflect on their vocational path into leadership and how that informs the way they seek to continue to lead. -
2027 NetVUE Summer Seminar: Enhancing Vocational Exploration
This seminar, Enhancing Vocational Exploration, is designed to bring together a small group of educators who seek to contribute to the growing national conversation about vocation and calling. The participants in this seminar will bring to the table their experiences with vocation on their own campuses, whether in teaching, research, writing, service, or inter-office cooperation. Any member of the staff or faculty at a NetVUE member institution is eligible to be nominated for the seminar. -

Writing Vocation: A Colloquy for Future Contributors
Participants in the NetVUE colloquy on Writing Vocation will become familiar with and better equipped to write about vocation in different contexts. They will learn about opportunities within NetVUE to write about vocation, develop possible projects, and create a writing plan for such work. -
2027 NetVUE Summer Seminar: Vocation Across Campus
Vocation Across Campus: Supporting Students’ Search for Meaning is designed for staff who direct campus programs or serve in other long-term administrative capacities, but who do not also hold faculty appointments. Participants will have the opportunity to learn more about vocation and its importance for undergraduate students, to develop or revise programming or initiatives to support vocational exploration, and to cultivate a broader network of colleagues committed to supporting students’ work in this area. The nomination deadline for this seminar is November 20, 2026. -
2025 NetVUE Faculty Seminar: Teaching Vocational Exploration
Participants will learn to strengthen the teaching of vocational exploration by probing a variety of understandings of vocation and their importance in educating undergraduates, by developing new courses or course materials, and by establishing a broader network of faculty members committed to teaching vocational exploration.
