Jason A. Mahn

Jason A. Mahn is a NetVUE professional development program officer, responsible for helping coordinate the disciplinary summer seminars and the annual NetVUE gathering that meets in conjunction with the annual meeting of the American Academy of Religion and Society of Biblical Literature. He holds the Conrad Bergendoff Chair in the Humanities and is professor of religion at Augustana College in Rock Island, Illinois, where he served as the founding director of the Presidential Center for Faith and Learning from 2017 to 2026. He contributed a chapter to the second NetVUE Scholarly Resources volume Vocation across the Academy: A New Vocabulary for Higher Education (2017) and has written or edited six books, including Neighbor Love through Fearful Days: Finding Purpose and Meaning in a Time of Crisis (2021) and So That All May Flourish: The Aims of Lutheran Higher Education (2023). He holds a BA in religion and English from Gustavus Adolphus College, an MA in theology from Luther Theological Seminary, and a PhD in religion from Emory University.
