Marilyn Sutton-Haywood serves as project director for the North Carolina Independent Colleges and Universities (NCICU) Faculty-Student STEM Mentoring Program. Prior to that, she served as faculty member and vice president for academic affairs at Shaw University, Bethune-Cookman University, and Johnson C. Smith University. She also held positions as dean of arts and sciences at Pfeiffer University in Misenheimer, North Carolina; and interim vice president for academic affairs at Mitchell College in New London, Connecticut. Sutton-Haywood has strong interests in learning communities, service learning, faculty development, and accreditation.
