After serving at two CIC member institutions, Susan Jenkins joined CIC in 2022 as assistant vice president and was promoted to vice president for marketing and communication to implement a new “digital-first” communications strategy. She previously led brand marketing and reputation efforts as assistant vice president of marketing and communications at Shenandoah University. Jenkins also managed the communications office of St. John’s College (MD) on the Annapolis campus, where she coordinated digital content and messaging across two campuses during a rebranding initiative and the announcement of a tuition reset and capital campaign. Other accomplishments include working as a reporter and editor for a newspaper, magazines, and community news websites. Jenkins has a bachelor’s degree in speech communication from George Mason University and a master’s degree in journalism and public affairs from American University.
