CIC’s Key Indicators Tool (KIT) and Financial Indicators Tool (FIT) reports have provided academic leaders with critical data for institutional analysis since 2004. In 2024, CIC partnered with UQ Solutions to create an updated, interactive KIT and FIT. These interactive dashboard tools allows users to establish customized comparison groups, track their institution’s metrics in comparison with those groups, see essential KPIs in a summary report, and communicate key findings. In this presentation, Ellen Peters leads a conversation with Seth Houston, who led the development of the tool, and a panel of chief academic officers to introduce the tool, share initial impressions, and discuss strategies for using the tool to enhance institutional analysis and strategy.
