Navigating Difficult Conversations with Confidence and Care

In this session you will learn helpful strategies for approaching difficult conversations with colleagues and students and put them into practice through role playing. Whether you are an experienced CAO or dean, or new to your role, you will come away with strategies for today’s challenging scenarios, and confidence in how to handle conversations with faculty, staff, and students.

After participating in this session, you will:

  1. Have a toolkit of strategies for approaching difficult conversations.
  2. Be more prepared for difficult conversations.
  3. Feel more confident about navigating difficult conversations.
  4. Have a group of colleagues outside your institution with whom you can consult when navigating future difficult conversations.
