Vocation Across Campus: Supporting Students’ Search for Meaning is designed for staff who direct campus programs or serve in other long-term administrative capacities, but who do not also hold faculty appointments. -
2026 NetVUE Summer Seminar: Institutional Leadership for Vocation
CIC is pleased to announce a new seminar for faculty members and staff who are serving in leadership roles at institutions that are members of its Network for Vocation in Undergraduate Education (NetVUE). This seminar, Institutional Leadership for Vocation, is designed to bring together a group of current leaders who are eager to explore how vocational exploration and discernment can play a greater role across campus, particularly in the work that these leaders do with members of the faculty and staff, but also in curricular and co-curricular programming for students. -
Writing Vocation: A Colloquy for Future Contributors
Participants in the NetVUE colloquy on Writing Vocation will become familiar with and better equipped to write about vocation in different contexts. They will learn about opportunities within NetVUE to write about vocation, develop possible projects, and create a writing plan for such work. -
2026 NetVUE Seminar: Teaching Vocational Exploration
CIC is pleased to offer a multidisciplinary seminar, Teaching Vocational Exploration, for full-time faculty members in all fields at colleges and universities that are members of the Network for Vocation in Undergraduate Education (NetVUE). The seminar is designed for early- to mid-career faculty members at the rank of assistant or associate professor or the equivalent. -
2026 NetVUE Conference
This spring, leaders from NetVUE member institutions will gather to consider how they might strengthen their support of undergraduate students as they explore their many callings in life. Students and educators alike are being called to contribute to the common good, to engage with our communities, and to lead in the midst of division. Our callings are not just our own; they are vocations for the life of the world. -
2026 Spouses and Partners of New Presidents Program
The Spouses and Partners of New Presidents Program runs concurrently with CIC’s New Presidents Program in advance of the Presidents Institute. A small team of experienced presidential spouses leads the group through a comprehensive exploration of the spouse and partner role and helps each participant understand how he or she can serve in that role most effectively and with personal fulfillment. -
2026 Presidential Spouses and Partners Program
CIC’s Presidential Spouses and Partners Program is designed to offer insight, advice, support, and fellowship to those who share this unique role. Developed in consultation with a task force of experienced presidential spouses and partners, it is held in conjunction with the Presidents Institute each January. -
2026 New Presidents Program
A leadership development program for college presidents in their first or second year and their spouses or partners that addresses the practical needs and strategic questions for success as leaders of independent colleges and universities. -
2025 NetVUE Gathering at the AAR/SBL Annual Meeting
Each year, NetVUE hosts a series of events for scholars in the fields of theology and religious studies at NetVUE member institutions prior to the Annual Meetings of the American Academy of Religion and Society of Biblical Literature. -
2026 Presidents Institute
The Presidents Institute is an annually held meeting for presidents of independent colleges and universities that includes programs for new presidents and for spouses.
