Learning and Networking | Christian Thinking as Pilgrimage: Open for Registration

Back to NetVUE Connections

On Thursday, May 21, 2026, NetVUE member institution Huntington University (IN) will host “Christian Thinking as Pilgrimage,” a gathering that considers the question, “What does it mean to think like a Christian?” In our complex post-secular age, faith, learning, and personal identity are intertwined, and older models that abstractly contrast Christian thought with secular ways of understanding the world no longer make much sense. What would it mean for Christian thinking to be envisioned as an intellectual pilgrimage that involves intentional self-reflection and active engagement with other points of view?

Join Douglas Jacobsen and Rhonda Hustedt Jacobsen, authors of Christianity and Intellectual Inquiry: Thinking as Pilgrimage (Oxford, 2025), along with scholars from a variety of institutions and disciplines, for a lively discussion about what it means to be a Christian intellectual pilgrim. The one-day conference is sponsored by the Council for Christian Colleges & Universities (CCCU) with additional support from NetVUE.
