Connections: The NetVUE Newsletter

Back to NetVUE Home

I hope many people at NetVUE member institutions are still riding high from the wonderful experience of being together last month at the 2026 NetVUE Conference in Kansas City! For the benefit of those who could not join us—and for those who were in attendance but, like me (and everyone else), could not be in two places at one time—this newsletter issue features reflections on conference sessions that you might have missed or might wish to revisit. In each reflection, NetVUE staff members describe the session; some also provide their own perspective and pose questions for readers’ further reflection. In addition, check out the webinar announcement below, which will provide another chance to experience or re-experience the key offerings of the conference. Whether you could join us or not, the meeting of over 900 participants prompted a tremendous output of ideas, practices, resources, and invitations to benefit our collective work on vocation. I hope this newsletter issue (and the webinar that follows) will provide an opportunity for further and deeper reflection on the role of vocation in your campus context.

As always, this issue also features a digest of the latest NetVUE resources on offer, including a menu of regional gatherings for next year, access to the first issue of the NetVUE journal Studies in Vocation and Calling, a new set of Topical Resource Guides, and much more.

— Daniel Meyers, NetVUE Online Community Coordinator

Regular readers of the newsletter may have noticed that the usual offerings that close each issue (campus spotlight, book review, and closing reflection) were not included here. Instead, this issue’s conference-focused reflections were designed for the same purposes: to offer information, insight, and prompts for considering new ideas on your campus. The newsletter’s usual format will return in the fall.
