Learning and Networking | The First Issue of Studies in Vocation and Calling has Arrived!

Back to NetVUE Connections

The first issue of NetVUE’s new interdisciplinary journal, Studies in Vocation and Calling, has arrived! If you are at a NetVUE member institution, your campus contact can help you get a print copy. The journal is open access, so anyone can view the digital version on the journal’s website. In the first issue you will find articles on unsung mentoring practices, the link between institutional mission and student formation, navigating one’s own vocational journey as an educator, and more—alongside reviews of recent books and even of a popular television series.

This is just the beginning, of course. Do you have insight to share with the network? SVC welcomes your contributions, which can be:

  • stories of successful practices on your campus and lessons learned;
  • proposals for fresh theoretical frameworks, perhaps from your own discipline or field, in conversation with vocation literature; and
  • personal perspectives or creative offerings.

Learn more about the wide variety of contributions possible on the journal’s submission guidelines page and on the About SVC page on the NetVUE website.

For questions or to discuss a submission idea, reach out SVC’s managing editor, Krista Hughes, at khughes@cic.edu.
