Leading and Communicating During Crises

November 6, 2023

Speakers

Our communities and stakeholders expect that leaders of higher education are prepared to address a wide-ranging list of vulnerabilities, mitigate potential emergencies, and guide institutions through a crisis. As a higher education leader, you will be called upon to guide your institution through a crisis. This seminar will provide counsel, examples, lessons learned, and case studies to apply new learning. Participants will learn how to differentiate between a problem and crisis and identify the right leadership level to respond accordingly; evaluate crisis situations to meet the decision-making and communication needs of your community; and ascertain how and when to incorporate feedback into an ongoing leadership response.

The interactive seminars cover important issues that currently impact independent higher education. They are designed to be practical and hands on with clear learning outcomes. Each will include examples of replicable models for participants to use when faced with the situations covered by the seminars.

These interactive seminars are free of charge and do not require pre-registration, but they have limited capacity. Space is available on a first-come, first-served basis.
