How does a liberal arts institution discern, embody, and live out its calling? How does an institution articulate and communicate its vocation, and how does it infuse and embed that sense of vocation across the academy?

This event built on NetVUE gatherings at AAR/SBL meetings in 2019 and 2021 (focusing on interreligious conversations and issues of justice). The event included panel presentations, book discussions, and interactive conversations, as well as opportunities for socializing and networking.

This gathering provided an opportunity for teachers and scholars in the field of religious studies to explore the ways that their undergraduate classrooms can become sites for deeper conversations about issues of justice.

This gathering provided an opportunity for teachers and scholars in the field of religious studies to discuss the intersections of that field with programs for vocational reflection and discernment.

This one-day gathering, held on the day preceding the American Academy of Religion Annual Meeting in Boston, featured sessions on vocation, particularly questions of pedagogy, issues across disciplines, and how vocational discussions differ in secular or multi-faith environments.
