The program is designed to help participants explore their vocational calling, as well as examine what types of institutional missions they might best serve. -

2025 Presidential Spouses and Partners Program
CIC’s Presidential Spouses and Partners Program is designed to offer insight, advice, support, and fellowship to those who share this unique role. Developed in consultation with a task force of experienced presidential spouses and partners, it is held in conjunction with the Presidents Institute each January. -

The Presidents Institute is an annually held meeting for presidents of independent colleges and universities that includes programs for new presidents and for spouses. -

A leadership development program for college presidents in their first or second year and their spouses or partners that addresses the practical needs and strategic questions for success as leaders of independent colleges and universities. -
2025 Spouses and Partners of New Presidents Program
The Spouses and Partners of New Presidents Program runs concurrently with CIC’s New Presidents Program in advance of the Presidents Institute. A small team of experienced presidential spouses leads the group through a comprehensive exploration of the spouse and partner role and helps each participant understand how he or she can serve in that role most effectively and with personal fulfillment. -
2024 NetVUE Gathering at the AAR/SBL Annual Meeting
Each year, NetVUE hosts a series of events for scholars in the fields of theology and religious studies at NetVUE member institutions prior to the Annual Meetings of the American Academy of Religion and Society of Biblical Literature. -

This annually held meeting brings chief academic officers of independent colleges and universities together, and includes special programming for new CAOs and CAOs in their third and fourth year. -
Senior Leadership Academy 2024–2025
CIC and the American Academic Leadership Institute (AALI) are pleased to announce the 2023–2024 Senior Leadership Academy (SLA), a yearlong program for administrators in higher education who aspire to cabinet-level positions in independent colleges or universities. -
Storytelling and Vocation
This gathering, in Bristol, Tennessee, will give particular attention to Appalachia in the context of broader questions. In these mountains, storytelling and vocation share a long history; hence, this location offers rich soil in which educators can cultivate new approaches to guiding their students as they discern their many callings in life. -
2024 NetVUE “Big Read” Launch at Loras College: Vocation and the Common Good
This gathering to give faculty members and staff at NetVUE member institutions an opportunity to engage more deeply with the theme of vocation and the common good and serve as the launch of this year’s NetVUE Big Read with the newest volume from the NetVUE Scholarly Resources Project, Called Beyond Our Selves: Vocation and the Common Good (Oxford, 2024). -
Ancient Greece in the Modern College Classroom
CIC the Center for Hellenic Studies (CHS) are pleased to announce a multidisciplinary seminar on “Ancient Medicine, Science, and Magic” for faculty members at CIC member colleges and universities. The seminar will broaden faculty members’ knowledge and perspective to help them strengthen the teaching of the classics. -
